Light with a sense of responsibility:
Together towards
carbon neutrality by 2030

An illuminated hospital ward

The CDG agreement now makes high-quality lighting particularly attractive for Caritas facilities.

Caritas has a clear goal: to be climate-neutral by 2030 . A key element in achieving this is modern, energy-efficient lighting that intelligently combines sustainability, cost-effectiveness and the highest quality of light.

Together with the Caritas Service Cooperative, DOTLUX is providing simple and cost-effective access to future-proof lighting solutions. Caritas facilities benefit from attractive special terms whilst investing in luminaires that impress with their quality, efficiency and suitability for everyday use.

The added value of DOTLUX is clear to see: modern LED solutions significantly reduce energy consumption, noticeably cut CO₂ emissions and actively support Caritas on its path to climate neutrality. At the same time, durable products and low maintenance requirements ensure a sustainable reduction in operating and maintenance costs.

Refurbishment & Modernisation

Renovation doesn’t have to be a major project involving lots of dust, noise and headaches. Sometimes all it takes is the right light fitting to turn something old into something really good again. That’s exactly what our renovation light fittings are for.

As one of the forward-looking

Caritas organisations, the Brilon Caritas Association, in collaboration with CDG, took an early lead in adopting modern and sustainable LED technology from DOTLUX and converted almost all its sites in-house. In addition to the consistently high quality of the products, we were particularly impressed by the significant savings in energy costs, which became apparent quickly and have had a lasting impact. It is therefore all the more pleasing that, despite many years of use, we have so far experienced virtually no breakdowns.

Florian Schreckenberg
Technical Manager, Facilities Management, Caritas Association, Brilon

Normally, approximately 60 per cent of the original lumen output is sufficient to replace a conventional fluorescent tube.

The main reason for this lies in the beam pattern. Compared to T5 and T8 tubes with a 360-degree beam angle, our QUICK-FIXdc has a beam angle optimised to 120 degrees. This reduces light loss from the rear of the housing.

Safety & Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting is like a reliable helper in the background – you often only notice it when you really need it. And that’s exactly when it simply has to work. No fuss, no complications and no ifs or buts.

At Caritas in particular, it’s all about people, safety and the peace of mind that comes from being fully prepared in an emergency. Our emergency lighting ensures that, should the worst happen, people can quickly find their bearings and everyone can find the right way out.

Why DOTLUX? Because we design emergency lighting exactly as it should be: simple to install, reliable in operation, durable in use and energy-efficient. This means safety isn’t complicated, but practical, cost-effective and suitable for everyday use.

In short: our emergency lighting does exactly what it’s meant to do – it makes everyday life easier, enhances safety and provides Caritas with a solution it can rely on at all times.

Bathroom & Care Area

In the bathroom in particular, good lighting makes a small but important difference every day.

It should be pleasant, work reliably and make the room feel welcoming. At Caritas in particular, bathrooms are spaces where safety, cleanliness and well-being come together. With our lights, we provide good lighting, clear visibility and a solution that simply works as part of everyday life.

Paths & Orientation

With path lighting in particular, the aim is to make safety visible. It provides guidance, instils confidence and ensures that outdoor areas remain pleasant and safe to use, even after dark.

At Caritas, well-lit pathways are a key part of a safe and welcoming environment. They help residents, staff and visitors to find their way around easily at all times and feel safe whilst out and about.

Why DOTLUX? Because our path lights impress with their durability, energy efficiency and high-quality light. They combine reliable technology with clear, pleasant illumination, making outdoor areas safer and more welcoming at the same time.

In short: our path lights bring light to places where wayfinding, safety and a positive first impression matter.

Walls & Facades

This isn’t just about visibility, but about creating an atmosphere.

The right lighting effectively showcases entrances, façades and walls, creates atmosphere and ensures the building presents a neat, welcoming appearance even after dark.

At Caritas, lighting on walls and façades helps to ensure that buildings appear open, safe and welcoming. It aids wayfinding, builds trust and ensures that residents, staff and visitors feel well looked after from the moment they arrive.

Accommodation & Community

Good lighting makes a real difference in communal areas. It creates atmosphere, encourages socialising and ensures that a room feels friendly, peaceful and welcoming.

At Caritas, communal areas are places for meeting, interacting and coming together every day. That is precisely why lighting that promotes a sense of well-being and creates a pleasant atmosphere in these spaces is so important.

Why DOTLUX? Because our lighting solutions combine reliable technology, high energy efficiency and a pleasant lighting effect. The result is lighting that is not only functional but also noticeably enhances communal areas.

In short: our lighting for communal areas creates a friendly atmosphere and turns spaces into places where people enjoy spending time.
