Daylight harvesting is a lighting strategy that controls the artificial light depending on the available natural light and ensures that the luminaire output is not higher than required to maintain the desired light level.
This not only significantly reduces energy consumption, but also increases the comfort and well-being of the room users. The change from natural light to artificial light and vice versa happens almost unnoticed and a certain desired light level is always guaranteed.
The sensors of the DOTLUX luminaires not only detect movement, but also simultaneously measure the amount of daylight available and then - if necessary - switch on artificial light at the required light intensity, thus combining two technologies to maximise energy efficiency.
