Since our brand ambassador Uri, the DOTluchs, has been actively supporting us for some time now, TEAM DOTLUX would like to do something for his relatives in the wild in return:
That is why we have decided to use the lynx HERO with a sponsorship.
HERO impressively demonstrates his unshakeable will.
The lynx kuder, born on 24 May 2015 in Lithuania, defies his congenital disability with an unshakeable zest for life.
Originally part of a reintroduction project, it soon became apparent that Hero was struggling with a permanent restriction of his mobility. Experts predicted that a restricted lynx in the wild could do little to support the population. He was therefore brought to Kaunas Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in Europe, which was already getting on in years at the time and underwent extensive renovation.
But the question remained: would a disabled lynx fit into the image of the new, modern zoo? The decision seemed clear: HERO was to be put down.
Through the rescue of a she-wolf at Lithuania Zoo, the organisation "Foundation for Bears" learnt of HERO's fate. The decision was made to come back to save the lynx.

Since Hero was released into the outdoor enclosure in the Black Forest, he has shown his true strengths. Despite his hip problems, he masters the steepest slopes and drags food into his hut. He trains his body, sharpens his senses and even catches intruders in his territory, such as martens and foxes.
We are incredibly proud to be a part of the story of HERO story and to accompany him on his journey.
