Setting the emergency lighting duration via a DIP switch
In public buildings and sensitive facilities such as schools, care homes or hospitals, particularly strict requirements apply to safety and emergency lighting. Whilst an emergency lighting duration of 3 hours is prescribed for safe evacuation in standard workplaces and administrative buildings, building regulations for areas providing accommodation or requiring a higher level of protection mandatorily require a backup time of 8 hours.
With our models EXIT multi and EXIT flat, the self-sufficient operating time can now be flexibly selected between 3 and 8 hours.
The setting is adjusted via an integrated DIP switch – very conveniently, directly during installation.
