Modern LED lighting in a historic building
Installing modern LED lighting in a historic building requires a great deal of planning sensitivity and perfect coordination of the luminaires with the rooms.

East Prussian Cultural Centre
The East Prussian Cultural Centre preserves and maintains the cultural heritage of East Prussia.
As a museum and educational institution, it presents exhibitions on art, history and everyday culture and runs a library and an archive.
It is a central location for research and communication of East Prussian history.
As little installation work as possible on ceilings and walls and lighting that remains in the background
The lighting should not be in the foreground, but should illuminate the rooms evenly and brightly and emphasise the exhibits. The installation had to be carried out very carefully with as little interference as possible due to the historic building.
An additional challenge was the time factor:
As the retrofit was financed by a federal grant from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the installation had to be implemented promptly.
Thanks to the smooth availability and fast, uncomplicated processing of the order by the DOTLUX team, this was no problem!
The planning and installation was carried out by the Lighting centre.
SLIMtrack TRUECOLOR incl. door panel
With our SLIMTRACK lighting system, it was possible to achieve uniform, bright illumination of the exhibition rooms. In order to be able to illuminate individual exhibits in a targeted manner, additional barndoors were attached to the luminaires. The installation was carried out with suspended tracks (all in the colour white) so that only discreet, small holes had to be drilled in the ceiling.
The result: perfect, pinpoint illumination that remains discreetly in the background.
Old, conventional lighting
New LED lighting
Converting to LED spotlights significantly and permanently reduces energy costs, which is in line with our sustainability standards. At the same time, the new lighting enables a more targeted presentation of the exhibits. Labelling and exhibition texts can be illuminated as required, further improving the accessibility of the exhibition.
